This system works with most mirrorless/dslr cameras as long as the camera has a side flipping screen and any camera cage on it.
If your screen height measures less than 58mm, it should fit with the FilmCube.
Yes. This works with the XLR top handle.
You need any camera cage. Works exceptionally well if the cage has a quick release system.
Yes! That’s one of our favorite features. You can go from a full cinema rig to a nimble gimbal setup in seconds.
So we tested it with a human man around 190lbs+ and didn’t break. After bouncing on it, it gave way and slid down the height tower and lost it’s position. So if you’re going to mount something on it, make sure it’s less than aprox 190lbs.
You can mount anything, even extra cheese plates. You can mount to the top, right and back side of the FilmCube.
An example rig could be:
On the back: a vmount plate and vmount battery.
On the side: a wireless monitoring system like a Teradek or Hollylands.
On the top: You can mount an external ssd, a monitor, a timecode box, wireless mics, or any other thing you use on set daily.
